Saltwater Taffy
As legend has it, vendor David Bradley accidentally made saltwater taffy on an Atlantic City boardwalk in the 1880s, when strong winds blew ocean spray onto his fresh batch of cooling taffy. Taffy and boardwalks have been inseparable ever since.
