The Great Pumpkin
Nearly half (47.8%) of all American’s plan to carve a pumpkin this year. Last year the US produced 1.1 billion pounds of pumpkins. Illinois alone produced 427 million pounds. At a national average cost of $4.51 that’s nearly $5 billion dollars worth of Jack-o-Lanterns. The Headless Horseman would be proud.
