On September 23, the Congressional Research Service published a report on trade preferences for developing countries.

On September 20, the Economic Policy Institute published a study estimating that the trade deficit with China has cost 2.8 million American jobs over the last decade.

On September 19, the Council on Foreign Relations published a report urging adoption of a pro-America trade policy.

On September 19, the Federal Reserve posted a working paper which found that antidumping duties reduce productivity in protected businesses.

On September 12, the World Bank published a working paper on the growing importance of exports of services due to improvements in technology, productivity and tradability.

Also on September 12, the U.S. International Trade Commission published the latest edition of its report, Economic Effects of Significant US Import Restraints .

On September 6, the Congressional Research Service issued a report on US international trade, including recent trends and forecasts.

In an August 23 commentary , Columbia University economist Jagdish Bhagwati says the economic impact of outsourcing has been grossly overblown.

An August 15 Federal Reserve Board working paper http://www.federalreserve.gov/pubs/ifdp/2011/1026/default.htm found that the export productivity of US firms remains strong despite the declining share of US exports in world exports.

On August 8, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco published a study examining the US content of goods made in China. It finds that about half the final sales price of Chinese-made goods actually accrues to American firms and workers for marketing and distribution.
