I come from a family with a variety of generational labels. My mother is a "Baby-Boomer," a group responsible for the downfall of America according to my "Silent-Majority" father. Boomers were also responsible for the bad name "Generation-X" got, according to my older sisters. Labeling generations always seemed confusing to me--like trailers for David Lynch movies.
But lately, marketers--the only anthropologists who will exist in 20 years--have found a line between older Millennials (who were alive when payphones existed) and younger Millennials (who will spend the next 5 years erasing early Facebook posts as if lasering off a Spring-Break tattoo). Here's what I've gleaned so far about the differences within our giant generation.
