ATHENS (Reuters) - Greece's anti-bailout leftist SYRIZA party is ahead of its pro-bailout rivals weeks before a repeat general election that could determine the debt-laden country's future in the euro zone, a poll showed on Friday.
The poll by VPRC for the Kontra TV station showed SYRIZA was ahead with 28.5 percent of the votes, while the pro-bailout conservative New Democracy was trailing with 26 percent.
The Socialist PASOK, which also backs the international bailout keeping Greece afloat, remained in third place with 12.5 percent, according to the poll.
Another poll earlier on Friday by RASS for the Metro newspaper showed New Democracy was ahead with 23.6 percent while support for SYRIZA stood at 21.4 percent.
