Argentina - Group F
It may just be the Irish trickster in me, but man do I want Argentina to win this thing. And there is a good chance that it will. This is a team that not only has the nearly unanimous choice for the best player in the world, but all around solidity at almost every position. Playing on their home continent (albeit at their greatest rival), this could get very, very interesting.
Players to watch: At 26, Lionel Messi should still play in at least two more World Cups, but this season there has been a sense that he has peaked. This is his best chance to win the trophy. Even without Messi, a strike force of Sergio Aguero, Ezequiel Lavezzi, and Gonzalo Higuain should scare the hell out of any defense.
Prediction: Argentina will be in the final against either Germany or Brazil. Expect fireworks either way.
