Janet Jackson
Two years ago pop superstar Janet Jackson, who had tried maintaining a healthy weight for most of her long career, followed in the footsteps of tons of other celebrity endorsers by signing on as a Nutrisystem spokesperson for its reformulated "SUCCESS" program of portion-controlled low-glycemic meals. The agreement meant a co-promotion for her book, True You. Jackson, now 47, said at the time she "couldn't do it alone" and that "denying myself the foods I love never worked for me... There are millions of women like me who want to be successful but don't have the tools to do it. I hope I help inspire them."
