Hugo Chavez at UN in 2006.
Hugo Chavez, 2006. The late Venezuelan president used this speech to slam American imperialism, saying that it "puts at risk the very survival of the human species." He then liked George W. Bush to the devil. "In this very place, it still smells of sulfur," he said, referring to the speech Bush gave the previous day. "Yesterday, ladies, gentlemen, from this same rostrum, the president of the United States, who I call the devil, came here talking as the owner of the world." He also did wonder for Noam Chomsky's book sales, recommending "Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance."
