Offered at a U.K. auction in April, the Rolling Stone guitarist’s shiny classic sold for nearly 40,000 British big ones, far higher than its estimated worth of 18,000-22,000 pounds. According to the auction house, Richards bought it second-hand and drove it during the early 1970s — right around the time the band recorded “Exile on Main Street.”
