Blackout: New York Goes Dark
(August 14, 2003)A power outage far and wide occurred throughout parts of the Northeast and Midwestern U.S. and Ontario, Canada, in the late afternoon of August 14 and into the night. The blackout affected an estimated 10 million people in Ontario and 45 million people in eight U.S. states.
